<p dir="auto">It was simply a non-scientific comment based on the number of times I've been contacted by Zimbra users and the results of Zimbra in this <a href="http://imapwiki.org/ImapTest/ServerStatus">test</a>. As I noted the test is old though and Zimbra might perform much better now.</p>
<p dir="auto">A quick review of the emails reveal that most of the time it is about this <a href="https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3061">issue</a>. In short, drafts in MailMate are (currently) saved exactly in the form that they are also sent. This means that after sending then MailMate only needs to remove the so-called <code>\Drafts</code> flag and then move the message to Sent Messages. This doesn't work with Zimbra. Removing the <code>\Drafts</code> flag fails with Zimbra. (I did a workaround in the past, but I'm not sure it actually works anymore.)</p>
<p dir="auto">In any case, Zimbra is certainly a much better choice than some of the alternatives. In particular, I do not hesitate with discouraging any use of GroupWise IMAP.</p>
