<p dir="auto">It's the sound generated by the <a href="https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/documentation/Cocoa/Reference/ApplicationKit/Miscellaneous/AppKit_Functions/Reference/reference.html#//apple_ref/c/func/NSBeep">NSBeep</a> function. It's configurable in the Sounds system preferences pane.</p>
