<p>If you only have a small number of tags then you could setup <a href="http://manual.mailmate-app.com/custom_key_bindings#special_actions">custom key bindings</a> to set/remove/toggle these tags.</p>
<p>With respect to tags, note that it only works well if the IMAP server supports custom IMAP keywords. I know MS Exchange does not support it and in that case the tags are only going to work locally. MailMate currently does not warn you about this. (For the record, it is unlikely that MailMate is ever going to include a workaround for that problem.)</p>
