Thanks, Benny, editing the state.plist fixed it.  Sorry, I didn't try 
the test release because I had already deleted/moved the mailboxes I 
wanted to for now.  What's interesting is that when I deleted or moved a 
mailbox, sometimes it did correctly vanish, and other times it wouldn't, 
so I was left with a ghost some of the time.  I'm not sure if it is a 
timing question, such as what MM was doing at the instant I said to 
delete or move a mailbox.  I doubt it has to do with the mailbox itself, 
such as it being empty or not or length of the name, but I didn't test 
anything.  I'll send you the saved-off plist files separately and 
off-list.
